“201411” is genuinely what I title some of my documents at work, lols. #ocd
But, you guessed it! This is a photo dump of the rest of my November. I was originally going to do a 2014 Q4 Photo dump but the post was just getting wayyy too long. So much happened!!! But we agreed I could have a few more posts of non-recent stuff so I’ll do a December one after this, then my Jan/Feb was less eventful so we can do a Jan-Feb summary. Okay?? Thanks for your patience <3 So, this is... a very long one. Go grab a chai latte (they are my new obsession), order some takeout and let's get started. br>
Whisky is not my thing, but we popped into a really fancy whisky shop after our Afternoon Tea as J has a friend who loooves whisky.
Well, I guess he likes it too.
^ Did you catch how much this one costs? Here’s a close up of the price:
£158,000.
Erm, def not one you want to accidentally break.
Lols.
We went to see Wicked. No joke, it was one of the best musicals I’ve seen. I may or may not have cried at the end when they sang “Because I Knew You” (I did. I sobbed like a baby and blew my nose a hundred times as silently as I could) and I thoroughly recommend it.
We got super cheap tickets from FromTheBoxOffice, stalls seats in the fifth row for only £35 each! Our view was slightly obstructed due to part of the set (we couldn’t see stage right) but that didn’t stop any enjoyment of the show.
It was so good, guys. You have to go see it if you haven’t already.
Made dinner and ate with a couple of friends. He did the complicated gnocci, I threw together a grilled chicken & avo salad – genuinely easiest thing to make in the world but still super tasty.
Tried to collect a set of Byron cards.
It’s an ongoing effort. Now I have: 9♠, 7♥, A♣ (x2), 3♣, 5♣, 6♣, K♣. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE ABOVE K♥ HAS GONE.
Obligatory Buckingham Palace photos:
We went to Hawksmoor. I feel like I should do another proper Hawksmoor review, it was super tasty and they have a delicious, well-priced Sunday Roast. But, I’m lazy so instead I’ll just say: it’s yummy go visit.
^ Mock surprise at yummy food.
This is my favourite drink. I tried it before and liked it so much I had to go back to have this again. But I forgot the name of it so a lovely barman came over and helped me figure out which drink I was thinking of in my head. And he got it right! Win!
This time I took a photo of which one it was on the menu so I wouldn’t forget. It’s called a Sinking Spritz (£9.50): Aperol, Vermouth, Picon Bier & Elderflower Cordial, topped with Sauvignon Blanc. Yum yum yum!!
Don’t know why he was pulling a face, but I was amused.
We went to Best Mangal at Old Street, one of my favourite cheap-eats in Shoreditch (be warned, site plays loud music). Home to delicious, large portions of Turkish delights and you can easily stuff yourselves silly for less than a tenner per head.
The above were our starters. The bread comes free. FREE AND DELICIOUS. Being free makes it more delicious!
^ This was like… £13 and could easily feed a family of four. Adding J and I for some perspective on how massive this platter was. It’s literally twice the size of me.
Post-meal food coma:
Then for some reason we pulled loads more faces! I have so many face-pulling photos. They’re actually really entertaining. Maybe one day I’ll collate them all into a massive face-pulling photos post. But for the time being I’ll keep them to myself!
Okay that’s enough for now. Otherwise your page may be loading for-ever if you have slow internet. (I also feel for you if you have slow internet, you poor dear). Take care!
Muchos love,
