I did it. I finally snapped. I couldn’t take it anymore. It was way too hot and my hair was way too long with way too many split ends… so, last night, I finally went at it with a pair of craft scissors – the same pair I used to cut my hubby’s hair a few weeks prior.
We went from this:
To this:
To this:

And finally this:

In total, from grabbing the scissors to cutting to cleaning to showering to fixing and taking photos along the way, my time was 45 mins. I think cutting time was only about 15min. Getting a decent photo actually took the longest HA.
And I’m sooo glad haha. My hair feels infinitely lighter (okay, probably about 1lb lighter at least??), takes a lot less time to wash and uses a lot less shampoo, and dries naturally in like 15min.
Only reason I didn’t do this sooner was because I was expecting to be able to get a haircut after May 4th. That didn’t happen, so, this did.

Honestly, not bad if I say so myself :)
