Chinese New Year In Beijing Part II

A thought occurred to me this morning: I suck at speaking in one language.

I switch between languages all the time in my head.  In fact, mid-sentence, my brain will just decide it no longer wants to stick to one language, and ends up stuffing so many thoughts into my head that I can’t even formulate a sentence anymore. “Let’s start thinking in the language you’re not trying to communicate in, Bobbie!”, it says.

Official Launch: Bobbieness.com – 5th May 2014!

It’s 5th May 2014. You may have noticed that over the weekend I migrated all my blog posts from bobbierecommends.info to this brand spankin’ new domain with a brand spankin’ new layout plus brand spankin’ new header.

Perhaps I have now overused the phrase ‘brand spankin’ new’.  That’s alright.

So, do you like it??  I’ve had this in mind for a while now, so I’m so pleased that I can finally share it with you.  I still need to tweak a few things in the coding so watch out for a few changes here or there.

Following this launch, I’ve also created a Bobbieness Blog Facebook Page – if you’re lovely enough to care about me thaaat much, feel free to “Like” it <3  I’ve cheated a little in simply changing my Bobbie Sonata profile (previously rather unused) into a Public Figure page, so if you were previously friends with me on that, you’ve automatically been converted to a liker to save you the trouble of going there and doing it yourself ;)

This lurrrvely long weekend was spent chillaxing and lazing around in the sun.  I have so many photos to show you and so much of my life to catch you up on (China photos parts II & III anyone?) – including photos from COCM and my birthday, but I’m knackered now and need sleep.

I’ll write you soon, pinky promise!

Muchos love,

Bobbie

The Hunger Games. No.

So I’m in China (woohoo!) and thus no Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc., so I’m ranting on my blog.  Because that’s what blogs are for.

I’ve finally watched the film everyone’s been raving about recently: The Hunger Games.  I know, late to the party but better late than never, I guess?

Here is why I will not watch (or I may watch but not enjoy) the second film:
1) Isn’t this a tween version of Battle Royale?  I’m a baby so can’t take blood/gore so never read Battle Royale past the first few pages, but I believe the tributes-fight-to-the-death part is exactly the same.
2) I hate love triangles.
3) I read spoilers and Katniss will not end up with the person I want her to end up with.

Boo!! :(  I also fast-forwarded parts of the first film towards the end.  I just got bored and annoyed with the plot. Unfortunately it’s really not my cup of tea, which is such a shame because I’ve heard such good reviews about it.

ARRRGHHHH.  If she just ended up with the guy I want her to be with (who she totally should be with) then I’d probably enjoy watching this thing.  But she won’t, and it’s inevitable I guess.  You get thrown into a life-or-death situation, it’s unsurprising you turn to someone close by for love and comfort.

I also think Peeta looks a little too young for Katniss.  It’s super cute that he’s been in love with Katniss for so long, but I think the actors lack chemistry.  I had a look and found that Hutcherson (actor portraying Peeta) is two years younger than Lawrence (doubt I need to explain who she is :p).  I have a feeling I’d enjoy the books more.

China’s frikken amazing btw!  Pictures to follow.

For Mummy’s Birthday

Happy birthday Mummy!

Excited!!

So we’re a week into January and I have some good news.
Yup. The sentence ends there. No bad news I’m afraid, just good news ;)
“Well, what is it?” I hear you cry.
Patience, my dear! All will be revealed in good time.

First, let me show you the new toy I bought a couple of days ago.
I’m only slightly insanely obsessed with it.
