Apparently a bunch of my Discord friends found their way here recently… :o Hello!! <3
I am beyond honoured that you’ve taken an interest in my life. You’re so welcome here. You’re all far too sweet, and I’m very grateful that you’d take time out of your day to come and read my blog, read my posts, or just stop by here in general.
If there’s anything you’d like to talk about or ask me about, please don’t be shy. I’d love to hear from you, leave a comment to say hi publicly, or if you want to chat privately I can temporarily open my DMs for you too ;)
Also – yeah you know what sweater I’m wearing hahaha.
Quick little update: I’m doing well. We’ve still been sheltering at home. I’ve been lazy with posting again, but mostly because I’ve simply been distracted. It’s been really fun getting to know new friends on some of the Discord groups I’ve joined — one in particular has taken up a lot of my time and attention.
I’ve been taking good care of myself. Look at the cute little bunny ear headband! Haha. I use it to keep my hair out of my face during my skincare routine. As of this week, I’ve decided to finally ditch the Korean skincare products I purchased from Costco a while back – honestly, they aren’t doing much for my skin – and have gone back to my tried and true favourite skincare brand: ESPA. I’m much more excited and less overwhelmed to be doing my skincare daily now.
They’re a UK skincare brand so their products are pretty pricey in US. Last time my family came to visit in February I had them bring some over from England. It’s pretty much the only skincare brand I’ll use. I’m hoping to write a post about it soon but given my update schedule who really knows.
This year has flown by. Workout-wise, I haven’t done too much recently either, but I’ve been following MOVE-mber a little better over the past week or so! From Friday onwards, though, I’ll have a group of workout buddies to try out Chloe Ting’s 2020 2 Week Shred Challenge with, which I’m really looking forward to.
Since it’s only two weeks long again, I’ll try to document my progress using the same format I used for the 2019 2 Week Shred Challenge back in May. The new challenge looks a lot more intense so I had been too intimidated to try it, but since I have so many workout buddies now I’m feeling freshly motivated.
Her Ep 1. Full Body Workout video for the 2020 2WS challenge contains too many jumps for me (downstairs neighbours will still complain) so I’m going to be substituting it with her latest 15min Full Body Workout video. I’ve done it a couple of times for MOVE-mber and have really enjoyed it.
Another update is taking care of my hair. Both Jacky and I had noticed significant amounts of hair loss in our apt here and we suspected it could be the water. We recently got a water filter for our shower and let me tell you it has so far made a world of difference. (Look at the above photo! All hair gone! Lol, just kidding.)
I’ll keep using it for a while and if it lasts and continues to make a visible difference I’ll write about it. Speak again soon!
Last month was Amazon Prime Day and if you were browsing my blog in the past few weeks you may have noticed I had a little widget on the side of my blog showing some workout clothes I purchased that day.
It’s now been a month and I think I can finally provide a solid review — at least for one of the products. Out of all the sets I purchased, I decided to keep only one thing: these Lululemon Dupe yoga pants.
In case you’re interested in a set of Gymshark or Lululemon dupes, please do read on because I can at least give you my thoughts on all of these items I purchased, and the reasons I decided to return most of them.
It’s Black Friday today so many of these items are back on sale or even cheaper than when I’d purchased them. So here’s my quick summary of why I kept (or didn’t keep) the following items:
I bought the crop top & shorts set and intended to mix and match this with another pink/grey Gymshark dupe set (see below), but the material was slightly different and the colours were slightly off. This wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker had it not been for poor fit as well.
This set didn’t fit me well. I have thicker upper thighs, and the elastic around the bottom of the shorts is fairly tight. The shorts aren’t long enough to reach down to my slimmer lower thighs, meaning the elastic pinched in the fat on my upper thighs and made it look incredibly unflattering. The bra fit okay-ish, but I felt like it was a little large on me around the ribcage area. I didn’t really like it enough to keep, and especially not given the ill-fitting shorts.
YAY the video is live~ I’m so happy I was finally able to complete the edits and upload it. I actually had a lot of fun editing it after iMovie started playing ball again, and I think I would definitely like to do another one some time.
Ironically, I actually gained a little weight after the video. However, that was the week before my period and we all know what happens then… Yep, extra water retention plus bloating. Don’t worry it went back down afterwards, but those are some of the foods I love to eat on my diet that are also low calorie, higher-protein, and filling to boot.
Not sure if anyone is actually going to watch it because it’s definitely not as exciting as other videos out there, plus my mukbang ends when I’m full, which is definitely rare in the world of mukbang on YouTube I think hahaha. Please let me know if you enjoyed the video!
I’m aiming to upload reading through the entire Bible at some point. I’ve just finished up recording Paul’s shorter epistles and am now going into the final books of the New Testament.
Hebrews is traditionally attributed to Paul, but the author is not made clear, so I’ve categorised it separately. We’re in the final few books of the New Testament now, then I’ll probably do Paul’s longer letters, then the Gospels and Acts, before looping back to start from Genesis. Thanks for reading with me!
