This post was last updated and completed on 1/1/2021.

Oh my goodness. It’s happening. In fact, it’s already happened. I have once again committed to a #chloetingchallenge.

This time is different, though. This time, I am doing this challenge with 30+ people. I haven’t felt this motivated in a long time, and a quick look at the rest of this blog and it’s fairly obvious I haven’t been exercising regularly in a while now, so it’s really exciting for me.

I’m still following Natacha Oceané’s 10min Warm Up video before every single session so I’m not going to be listing it under the daily completed videos list. It’s still my favourite warm up so I’m not going to stop following it any time soon.

Originally I was thinking of doing the same sort of format as my initial challenge posts but my mindset about fitness has changed so much I really don’t care about the numbers at all anymore. Still, here are some updated photos that I hastily took after my morning coffee, that can potentially be used for comparison later.

I am not expecting weight loss or even cm’s lost. I’m just really excited to be exercising again, and with a gigantic group of online friends, no less. So, without further ado…

Fitness: Chloe Ting Resistance Bands – Initial Review

If you’re lurking here from Discord, or even if you aren’t, I have a small surprise… look what arrived in the mail today!!

That’s right. I got a set of Chloe Ting resistance bands. I haven’t yet used them so this is more of an unboxing/initial impressions review. But first thing’s first: isn’t the packaging simply adorable? I love that it’s recyclable but I’m probably going to keep the box for storage because it’s so cute.

Once you open the box you are greeted with a colourful background with Chloe’s signature words of encouragement. You also receive 3 individually packaged bands along with a cute cloth bag, and a card with with care instructions etc.

The bands are made of thick but soft material, they stretch well and also look beautiful. Look at those gorgeous pastel colours. The different colours represent different levels of resistance.

What’s Up?

Quick little update: I’m doing well. We’ve still been sheltering at home. I’ve been lazy with posting again, but mostly because I’ve simply been distracted. It’s been really fun getting to know new friends on some of the Discord groups I’ve joined — one in particular has taken up a lot of my time and attention.

I’ve been taking good care of myself. Look at the cute little bunny ear headband! Haha. I use it to keep my hair out of my face during my skincare routine. As of this week, I’ve decided to finally ditch the Korean skincare products I purchased from Costco a while back – honestly, they aren’t doing much for my skin – and have gone back to my tried and true favourite skincare brand: ESPA. I’m much more excited and less overwhelmed to be doing my skincare daily now.

They’re a UK skincare brand so their products are pretty pricey in US. Last time my family came to visit in February I had them bring some over from England. It’s pretty much the only skincare brand I’ll use. I’m hoping to write a post about it soon but given my update schedule who really knows.

This year has flown by. Workout-wise, I haven’t done too much recently either, but I’ve been following MOVE-mber a little better over the past week or so! From Friday onwards, though, I’ll have a group of workout buddies to try out Chloe Ting’s 2020 2 Week Shred Challenge with, which I’m really looking forward to.

Since it’s only two weeks long again, I’ll try to document my progress using the same format I used for the 2019 2 Week Shred Challenge back in May. The new challenge looks a lot more intense so I had been too intimidated to try it, but since I have so many workout buddies now I’m feeling freshly motivated.

Her Ep 1. Full Body Workout video for the 2020 2WS challenge contains too many jumps for me (downstairs neighbours will still complain) so I’m going to be substituting it with her latest 15min Full Body Workout video. I’ve done it a couple of times for MOVE-mber and have really enjoyed it.

Another update is taking care of my hair. Both Jacky and I had noticed significant amounts of hair loss in our apt here and we suspected it could be the water. We recently got a water filter for our shower and let me tell you it has so far made a world of difference. (Look at the above photo! All hair gone! Lol, just kidding.)

I’ll keep using it for a while and if it lasts and continues to make a visible difference I’ll write about it. Speak again soon!

Muchos love,

Bobbie

Fitness Update: Week 49, 2020

I didn’t bother doing a fitness update last week. Mostly because I have taken a break the Get Peachy Challenge. Not because I didn’t like it, but actually because I feel like my peach is peachy enough haha. I think I was also getting a liiittle bored of the exercises as well, it seems like my attention span is pretty short.

I also really like my body as it is right now so I’m not sure I want to keep losing weight. I’ve been keeping my weight loss tracker up to date and it looks like I am still kind of losing weight after a period of thinking my weight had plateaued. I don’t plan to change up my diet to eat more though. I’m eating anything and everything I want in moderation and my body can do what it wants haha.

Exercise-wise, on Saturday I went for a hike and on Monday I did Nov 30th’s exercises in Chloe’s new MOVEmber challenge. I’m really happy to see that my plank form has improved significantly. My back is looking super straight, I’m so pleased.

I do quite like MOVEmber! It’s incredibly flexible as you can just join whenever you want. It ends Dec 18th. I’ll follow it until then I think, but after that I’d like to try the Get Fit Challenge as mentioned in some of my previous blog posts. It’s only 21 days so I think that’s a lot more doable for me.

Sleep-wise, it’s been sucky lately. I’m going to try my best to fix that in the coming weeks.

Muchos love,

Bobbie

Health & Fitness: Week 47, 2020 – Get Peachy Challenge

Week 47 runs from Monday 16th November — Sunday 22nd November, 2020.

I am currently following Chloe Ting’s Get Peachy Challenge program. For this challenge, I always start the workout with Natacha Océane’s 10min Warm Up. I won’t be listing it under ‘videos completed’ every day anymore because I literally use this warm up every single time.

For more information on what, why and how I’m tracking everything, including my health & fitness goals, please click here. To skip to the end of week summary, please click here.

The Week in Fitness & Food

11/16 – Monday. Get Peachy Challenge Day 18 Completed 18:30.
Videos completed: Chloe Ting Toned Arms, Chloe Ting Abs in 2 Weeks, MadFit 5min Cool Down (loosely followed).

Today I really wasn’t sure if I was going to exercise. I’ve been expecting my period to start and have definitely felt a bit more tired and emotional. I’m glad I did exercise in the end! I felt weaker than before but I always feel weaker right around the start of my period, so that isn’t anything to be alarmed by.

I originally planned to do my other weighted ab workout too but honestly, it wasn’t going to happen. I almost quit half way through Chloe’s 2 Week Ab video because I was feeling really tired, but I’m glad I didn’t! Literally Chloe said “Don’t give up now!” at that very moment so I took some extra rest time and pushed through.

I felt a lot more energised after the workout though so that was great! Food wise, we’ve been eating out a lot lately. Oh, that said, last night I made chicken tikka masala and it tasted delicious. I had some leftovers for lunch today, then for dinner we ordered from Ros Ni Yom again.

We need to go grocery shopping but also I was just tired today. My average weight actually decreased last week, which was surprising given that I usually bloat more and eat more junk and thus gain more weight when I PMS. However, I guess last week was more stressful for me so I ate less because of it.
